From tiredness to ill health
Sleep disturbance due to snoring and sleep apnoea may potentially cause daily tiredness and concentration problems, heart problems and an increased risk of heart attack and strokes.
Sleep apnoea may also cause morning headaches, depression and relationship problems.

The simple and quick solution
The TAP adjustable prescription splint is an effective, 1st stop non-surgical solution for many snoring and sleep apnoea conditions. The adjustable acrylic splint which you wear whilst you are sleeping maintains your jaw in a forward position, keeping the airway open without the need for surgery.

Your dentist simply takes impressions of both jaws and registers their relationship to each other. The dental laboratory fabricates your custom splint and then it is checked for a comfortable fit in the mouth.

The splint can be adjusted by the patient for complete comfort and effectiveness. The results can be immediate and effective with a success rate of 96% for people treated with the TAP appliance.

Other self help measures
There are also other self help preventive measures which may reduce your likelihood of snoring:
• Avoid large meals and alcohol before sleeping.
• If you are overweight attempt to lose weight.
• Try not to sleep on your back.
• Sleep with your head slightly raised.
• Talk with your pharmacist or GP about non-drowsy alternatives to any medications you require- as these may influence your breathing whilst sleeping.
• If possible, avoid dry atmospheres whilst sleeping.

Enjoy a good night’s sleep… on TAP.
